  3. If you decide to go down a path that you think you want, but then realize that you don’t, ask yourself – what did I learn from this? It’s not a failure – you tried and it was something you wanted to do – and you actually did it.

  4. If you are stuck in depression and anxiety, tune in and ask yourself what tools you need in order to get out of that place.

  5. Pay attention to the heart ‘pitter-patter’ and allow yourself those things.

  6. Feeling anxiety, stress, or creative block? Lower the stakes.

  7. If you have a high taste level, but your art isn’t up to your taste level – keep at it! This is a signal to keep practicing.

  8. Sometimes you may put something out there and hear crickets – stand by your piece.

  9. Unfollow or mute anyone who makes you feel at all like you are comparing yourself or less than. You don’t have time for that.

  10. Self care is like self parenting – it IS doing those things that we don’t want to do, in order to take care of ourselves and be at our best.
